Supported file formats
Import formats
When uploading an existing part into an app, the following file formats are accepted:
STL, STEP, OBJ, 3MF
File size limit
Any imported model larger than 5MB will be automatically downsampled to improve performance.
Export formats
All apps export print-ready files in the following formats:
- STL – the most widely supported format for 3D printing. Works with virtually all slicers and printer software.
- STEP – a widely used CAD format for exchanging 3D geometry between design and engineering systems. Useful when you need to continue working with a part in CAD or integrate it into a broader engineering workflow.
Which format should I use?
Use STL when you're preparing a part for 3D printing. It’s the standard format supported by virtually all slicers and printer software.
Use STEP when you need editable geometry for further design work, engineering review, or use in another CAD system.
