ProAStra Dental

is a project of trinckle together with the TU Berlin (IWF) and the Charité (IZMK) in the period from 01.01.2023 to 31.12.2025.

The goal is an automated process chain for the production of novel dental implants. Exemplary key innovations are the digital workflow for patient-specific design of the implants, the additive-subtractive manufacturing process, the implant fixation in the bone and the surgical process. Impressive highlights are the integration of advanced AI for segmentation of CT scans and the translation to clinical studies.

Smart fit 1

MORPHING MASTERDESIGNS

SmartFit

was a project in collaboration with an international market leader in orthopedic devices. Together, the automated 3D design of orthoses was taken to a next level based on research and development between 01/12/2020 and 31/10/2024.

The new, disruptive workflow for the preparation of personalized orthopedic aids involves accessing 3D scan data, preparing master designs, individual morphing and creating tailored production data. Exemplified for wrist braces and corsets, the concept boosts individualization beyond orthoses and protheses, including exoskeletons or safety equipment such as helmets.

3DiH – 3D printing in craft sector with food

is a collaboration with two research institutes, a chamber of crafts and five craft businesses with expertise in chocolate processing. From 01.08.2022 until 31.07.2025, the project focuses on enabling craftsmen to apply additive manufacturing.

Craftsmen will be provided with sustainable technological education to realize design ideas in suitable and divers application scenarios. Simplification of digital and production processes as well as tailored AI modules will enable them to directly create or improve edible products, or to produce individual production tools themselves.
