Software update: fixturemate 2.2
We've released a new version of fixturemate. This release focuses on usability improvements, time-saving automations to help you design faster, and new features requested by our customers.
To access fixturemate 2.2 simply log into fixturemate as usual, and you're all set with the latest updates.
Here's what you can expect to find:
What's new?
Support pattern automation. Save tons of time on tedious support creation by multiplying support elements in XY directions. Generated supports will dynamically adapt their height to the workpiece geometry. If you want to adjust generated supports individually, you can uncheck 'Automated' to change individual characteristics. Find this option by right clicking the marker point of any support element.
Simplify Geometry. Creating a negative is a common fixture design step, but sometimes complex geometries leave unwanted features when the workpiece has holes or cavities. The Simplify Geometry option lets you simplify workpiece geometry by closing pockets or holes along global axes. Right-click on the marker point of your workpiece to find this option.

Adaptive supports. If support elements have been created, they will automatically adjust their height whenever a workpiece is moved or the base plate height changes, ensuring contact surfaces between the support and the workpiece are maintained.
Circular perforated baseplates. By customer request, you now have the option to choose a circular perforated panel, which is commonly used for CMM fixtures. This new option can be found in the perforated panel baseplate selection step.
Fit size baseplate. You can now decide whether to include workpieces in your contour settings or let supports and clamps determine the size, which can be useful for larger workpieces.
Random workpiece colors. Each uploaded workpiece will now be assigned a random color by default, making it easier to distinguish between marker point at a glance.
Better 3D Gizmo readability. We’ve made the numbers and letters of the 3D Gizmo larger and easier to read.
Bug fixes and improvements. Based on user community feedback, we’ve solved some issues and made several minor improvements.
Your fixtures made faster
We hope these improvements help you achieve usable fixture designs more quickly.
